The Ulster Way and the Slieve Beagh Way pass through this forest. Walkers can use forest roads for casual walking.
There are fishing stands at Jenkin's Lough. You need a valid rod licence and permit to fish in the lough.

About this forest
This forest is part of a larger connected mass of forests that includes Carnmore, Doon, Knocks, Tully, Mullaghfad, Grogey, Crocknagrally and Fardross forests, covering 8,000 hectares lying into the Slieve Beagh plateau.
How to get there
Access to the car park at Jenkin's Lough is from Jenkin Road, off the Mullaghfad Road about one mile from Cooneen.
