There is a large car park, visitor reception centre, toilets, waymarked walking and cycle trails, pony trekking and a Touring in the Trees site in this forest park. Visitors can enjoy the facilities that are offered by the National Trust at Florence Court House, in the heart of the forest.
There may be restrictions on access to parts of the forest from time to time due to forest operations so pay attention to safety signage.
The forest is open every day from 10.00 am until sunset. Entrance charges apply to visitors, both pedestrians and vehicles.
About this forest
The park offers widely contrasting habitats, from open mountain and blanket bog to coniferous forest and the old estate woodland, which features many mature oaks, some planted around 200 years ago.
A few miles away the separate coniferous forest block of Doohatty lies at the foot of Benaughlin Mountain.
How to get there
