Apply for a pedestrian zone permit
You need permission to drive a vehicle in a pedestrian zone. You can apply for a permit (white badge) online.
Types of permit

There are several types of permit, depending on the reason for an application:
- residents’ access
- church access
- off-street car parking access
- banking access
- business access
- essential maintenance/ repairs to buildings access
- Blue Badge holder access
- community transport access
- miscellaneous access
You must give the following information when applying:
- your details
- type of permit you need
- details of the restricted zone
- date and time(s) of access
- reason for access
- vehicle details
