Capanagh Forest

This is a small coniferous forest on the Mid Antrim Plateau near Larne.

Activities

There are no facilities for recreational activities here, but the public are welcome to visit this forest on foot.

Occasionally there may be restricted access to parts of the forest due to forestry work so follow the safety advice on forest signs.

How to get there

From Larne, take the A8 for two and a half miles, then turn right onto the A38 Shanes Hill Road. After one mile turn right onto Starbog Road. At next junction continue on Starbog Road for three and a half miles.
