Accessibility features
nidirect aims to be accessible and easy for everyone to use, regardless of ability, device or browser. We are committed to maintaining and improving accessibility across the site.
How the site supports accessibility
We design nidirect so that it works well with a wide range of assistive technologies and user needs, including:
good colour contrast
clear, readable fonts
simple, uncluttered page layout
full navigation using a keyboard
compatibility with screen readers and other assistive tools
adherence to recognised accessibility and usability best practice
Accessibility standards
nidirect aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
Maintaining an accessible service is an ongoing process and improvements are made continuously.
Some parts of the site are delivered by third‑party providers. Where this happens, it may not be possible to apply the same accessibility standards.
If you have problems using the website
If you experience any accessibility issues or have difficulty using any part of the site, you can tell us using the feedback form or by emailing accessibility.nidirect@finance-ni.gov.uk.
Opening documents
nidirect links to documents in several formats. You may need particular software to open these files.
