Accessibility features

Every effort has been made to make nidirect accessible and easy to use for everyone, no matter what browser you choose to use, and whether you have any disabilities.

Accessibility standards

Maintaining an accessible site is an ongoing process and nidirect is continually working to offer an accessible and user friendly experience.

nidirect is designed to work well for everyone regardless of the device used to access the site.

nidirect works with various assistive technologies by:

  • using good colour contrast
  • using larger fonts
  • using a simple uncluttered page layout
  • allowing navigation using a keyboard only
  • conforming with accessibility standards and usability best practices

nidirect endeavours to conform to the Worldwide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) at level AA.

Note, some sections of this website are controlled by third parties and so it has not been possible for the same standards of accessibility to be applied to them.

If you have any problems using this website, tell nidirect by using the feedback facility or by email on accessibility.nidirect@finance-ni.gov.uk.
