Create or update your rate account
You can use an online form to create a new domestic rate account or to tell Land & Property Services (LPS) about changes to an existing domestic rate account. You'll need to tell LPS when the property owner changes or people leave or move into the property.
Before you start
To update your existing rate account, you'll need one of the reference numbers on your rate bill:
- occupancy ID
- account ID
- ratepayer ID
If you sold a property, you'll need to confirm information about one person involved in the sale:
- the new owner's contact details
- your solicitor's details
- the estate agent
If you bought a property, you'll need to confirm information about one person involved in the sale:
- the previous owner's contact details
- their solicitor's details
- the estate agent
