Mount Stewart Forest

This forest contains mixed coniferous and broadleaved woodland, and is located on the shores of Strangford Lough.


There are no facilities for recreational activities.

Occasionally there may be restricted access to parts of the forest during work or other forest operations so pay attention to safety signage.

About this forest

This forest is part of the estate once owned by Lord Londonderry. It is owned by the National Trust and leased to Forest Service.

How to get there

To reach this forest from Newtownards, take the A20 for two and a half miles to the National Trust entrance.
