    Create or log in to a DVA online account

    You now have to apply or carry out a renewal online for the following types of licences: taxi and bus operator, taxi driver, taxi vehicle or bus vehicle tests. To use this service, you will need to create an online account.

     

    Before you start

    If you're an existing nidirect account holder, you'll need to update your account to use the new service. 

    If you don’t already have an account then you will need to create one. 

    To create or update an online account you’ll need:

    • a valid email address and you can choose to give a mobile phone number for contact purposes
    • a password (at least eight characters that must have an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and one number)

    Additional information

    The Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) will be contacting you before your licence is due to expire to make sure that those who need help to create or update their online account, are able to use the new service. Therefore, make sure that the DVA has your right contact details.

    If you need help

    DVA staff can give help, advice and support to assist you. Whether you or any of your drivers need help to set up a new nidirect account, or need help to use the new online service, link your licence, or send an application, support will be available.
