Change your practical driving test appointment online
Before you start
Following an increase in coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, additional restrictions have been introduced for people living in Northern Ireland.
These new restrictions are being put in place to help reduce the spread of coronavirus and to help manage the pressures on our health and social care system.
As a result, all practical driving tests scheduled between 17 October and 13 November 2020 inclusive have been cancelled.
Customers with driving tests booked to take place during this period need take NO action.
Key workers may be within this group and will be given priority appointments when available. DVA will contact these customers directly.
The DVA will issue refunds back to the payment card as quickly as possible and will contact customers directly to advise them how they can reschedule their appointments.
The booking service is now closed and no further driving tests can be booked either online or via the telephone booking line, until further notice.
Motorcycle Driving Tests
Following amendments to clarify the regulations, motorcycle driving tests, which allow for social distancing measures, can now resume. Where possible, the DVA is directly contacting customers whose motorcycle test was cancelled, to arrange a new appointment. Alternatively customers can rebook by calling the booking line on 0345 247 2471.
New candidates wishing to book a motorcycle driving test may also do so by calling the booking line on 0345 247 2471.
