Viewing your medical records online
If you use health services in any Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland, you will be able to view specific parts of your medical records online by using the 'My Care' patient portal.
About My Care
My Care gives you greater control of your healthcare by giving you personalised and secure online access to specific parts of your medical records.
Through My Care you can view your personal information online, such as:
- medications
- appointments
- some test results
It is free and optional.
You can continue to interact with healthcare services in the usual way, such as letters and phone calls.
My Care does not hold significant historical information or information from your GP practice.
Viewing your online medical records
To get your medical records online, using My Care, you will need a mobile phone, tablet, or computer as well as an internet connection.
To sign up for My Care, download the MyChart app from:
In the MyChart app, find and choose the HSC logo from the drop-down menu.
You will be redirected to nidirect.
To sign in to My Care, you need a nidirect account to prove your identity.
If you already have a nidirect account you can use your current account information. If you don’t, you must create one to use My Care.
