Stormont trails

Stormont Estate has a variety of walks, a fitness trail and a new series of adventure trails for a range of age groups to showcase the woodlands and to give visitors a brief insight into
the history of the estate.

Three new adventure trails

Stormont Estate has created the following new trails:

  1. History Trail - gives an insight into the rich history of Stormont Estate
  2. Environment Trail - lets visitors discover the heritage, fauna and wildlife on the estate
  3. Woodland Trail - find sensory points and features like small tree houses, bird houses and woodland carved animals around the estate

Each trail takes around 30 minutes.

Maps of new trails

A range of age groups can follow each new trail which is supported by an interactive map and a quiz.  The routes have key marker locations and clues, which can offer all visitors an enjoyable, educational and engaging experience.

Woodland walks and fitness trail

There are also two woodland walks within the public area. The long woodland walk is 4km and the short walk is 2km.  

The fitness trail covers 1.6km.
