Camlough Forest

Camlough Forest is situated in the hills overlooking the city of Newry, which is one of the main urban areas in County Down. Find out what you can do there and how to get there.

Activities

The public are welcome to visit the forest on foot at any time. No other facilities are provided. 

Public access may be temporarily closed or restricted during some work operations so check this page for details before you visit the forest. At these times pay attention to safety signage.

How to get there

From Newry, take the A25 signposted Bessbrook. Turn left onto the A1 for two and a half miles until the roundabout. Take the third turning onto the B113 for about half a mile. Turn right onto Seavers Road for about one mile. Turn right into Tamnaghbane Road for half a mile. Turn right into Forest Road.
