Community emergency planning

Recent emergencies have shown how members of the community help each other before, during and after emergencies.

Some communities in Northern Ireland have already developed local community emergency plans to plan how they will work together to help each other in an emergency.

The Local Resilience team works with many partners at a local level to help improve the resilience of Northern Ireland.

It also makes sure there is a co-ordinated response to emergencies that could have a significant impact on communities.

The group works with communities across Northern Ireland to support them to develop community emergency plans and improve preparedness in their area.
