How to report fraud in health and social care
Every year money the health service in Northern Ireland loses money to fraud. That money could pay for treatments or services. If you suspect fraud in health and social care in Northern Ireland, you should report it.
Types of fraud in health and social care
There are many different types of fraud. In health and social care some examples may include:
- claiming free or reduced cost dental and eye treatment when you're not entitled to help
- obtaining prescription medication by deception
- staff making false or inflated claims for hours worked, travel or expenses
- suppliers submitting invoices for goods or services they did not provide

Why you should report fraud
Any type of fraud is wrong.
