How busy are emergency departments?

Waiting times at emergency departments can change significantly and quickly without warning, and therefore the times given here are not a guarantee of how long you will actually wait.

You will be seen in the emergency department based on your medical condition which is assessed by a member of staff when you first arrive. Patients will be seen in order of priority.

The table below shows the current average waiting time to see the nurse or doctor who will treat you.

This table is in beta. Beta means you are looking at the first version and further information will be added soon.
