Bridge to Employment
Bridge to employment is a pre-employment training programme that helps you (aged 18+) to find a job if you are unemployed whatever your experience of work.
Vacancies are advertised for a limited period in the newspapers, community organisations and in the local Jobs and Benefits Offices.
Essential Skills
If your reading, writing, maths or ICT skills are stopping you from getting a job or you find it hard to read instructions, fill out forms or use ICT equipment, a free Essential Skills course may help.
Training for Success
Training for Success is designed for young people aged 16-18 (up to 24 years for those requiring additional support) and provides training to give the tools and skills needed to get a job.
Training will provide you with the relevant qualifications as well as the required personal and behavioural skills to progress into work.
Travel to Interview Scheme
The Travel to Interview Scheme is designed to help unemployed people with the cost of travelling to interviews for full-time permanent positions in Northern Ireland or elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
Applications should be made before your interview by completing a TIS 1 form, available from any Jobs and Benefits office.
Work experience programme
If you're unemployed, the Work Experience Programme can help you develop your employability skills and gain the experience you need to get a job.
