Domestic rate poundages

Domestic rate poundages include the district and regional rates for 1 April 22 until 31 March 2023. You can use the domestic rate poundage in your area to calculate your rates bill.

Calculate your estimated domestic rates bill

To calculate your estimated annual domestic rates bill, multiply the capital value (CV) of your property by the domestic rate poundage for your council area.

The valuations for domestic properties are based on the capital value on 1 January 2005.

You can view an estimate of a full annual rate calculation for the current rating year by inputting the address information using Land & Property Services' (LPS) online valuation search. The amount shown does not include any carried over debt, reductions for rate reliefs, exemptions, or exclusions.
