Angling at Upper Holywood
The lake is long and narrow with a dam wall at its eastern end. It is surrounded by low hills overlooking Belfast Lough. There is some natural cover so visitors should wrap up warm during winter and early spring.

General information
There is a small car park to right of the entrance gate.
Day tickets must be bought before you fish and carried at all times for inspection if asked.
Anglers must use official entrances. Do not trespass on adjoining lands or obstruct roadways or gate entrances with parked cars.
How to get there
From the centre of Holywood turn right at Church Road by the Ulster Bank. Travel for two kilometres until the hill climb levels and you see the reservoir in a valley to the right, accessed by a long lane.
