Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening locations

There is an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening programme office in Belfast and a number of screening centres across Northern Ireland. Find information on screening locations in your area.

AAA screening programme

The Northern Ireland AAA Screening Programme invites men in their 65th year to screening.  You must be registered with a GP.

The programme doesn’t screen women.

Contacting the AAA screening programme

Your screening invitation should provide all the information you need for your appointment.

If you need more information about the screening programme or you wish to change your appointment you can do so by contacting the screening programme office.

  • Northern Ireland Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme

Belfast Trust

AAA screening is available from the following locations within the Belfast Trust:

  • Arches Wellbeing and Treatment Centre
  • Beech Hall Wellbeing and Treatment Centre
  • Bradbury Wellbeing and Treatment Centre
  • Grove Wellbeing and Treatment Centre

Northern Trust

AAA screening is available from the following locations within the Northern Trust:

  • Ballymena Health and Care Centre
  • Causeway Hospital, Coleraine
  • Mid Ulster Hospital
  • Moyle Hospital, Larne

South Eastern Trust

AAA screening is available from the following locations within the South Eastern Trust:

  • Ards Hospital
  • Bangor Community Hospital
  • Downe Hospital
  • Lagan Valley Hospital, Lisburn

Southern Trust

AAA screening is available from the following locations within the Southern Trust:

  • Banbridge Health and Care Centre
  • Bessbrook Clinic, Newry
  • John Mitchell Place
  • Kilkeel Primary Care Centre
  • Lurgan Hospital
  • Mullinure Hospital
  • Portadown Health Centre
  • South Tyrone Hospital

Western Trust

AAA screening is available from the following locations within the Western Trust:

  • Omagh Hospital
  • Roe Valley Hospital
  • South West Acute Hospital
  • Waterside Health Centre (Derry)
