Workable (NI) offers a flexible range of support to help people with disabilities who have barriers to employment to keep stay and progress in work.
About Workable (NI)
Workable (NI) tailors support for individuals with a disability to meet their specific needs in the workplace, including:
- specialist one-to-one help from an employment support officer to help the employee address and overcome barriers they face in work because of their disability
- specific skills training for disabled people and setting goals to help them progress in work and reach their full potential
- extra training and support for the employer which can include delivering disability training awareness to colleagues
Eligibility
You can get support through Workable (NI) if you:
• have a disability recognised under the Disability Discrimination Act (NI)
• are aged 16 or over
• are starting a new job or are having difficulties in your existing job
• work 10 hours or more on a minimum of a six-month contract

Workable (NI) is delivered by three providers funded by the Department for Communities (DfC). The providers are:
To apply for Workable (NI) contact one of the providers above who will be able to provide more information about the programme and complete the application form with you and your employer.
Once an application is approved the selected provider will support you and your employer and track your progress against an agreed action plan.
