Road safety with Skooter - worksheets and workbooks
Skooter worksheets and workbooks are an educational resource for all primary schools provided by the Department for Infrastructure (DFI). They are free to download and provide important road safety messages in a fun and engaging way.
These worksheets are aimed at children in primary years one to four. They allow teachers to test the child's knowledge and understanding by way of a quiz or filling in the missing words.
Skooter and Hattie workbooks
These workbooks are aimed at children in primary years three to five and target pedestrian related issues. They contain lots of activities including quizzes, word searches, spot the difference and have been developed as the main pupil resource for 'The Practical Child Pedestrian Safety Training Scheme' (PCPST).

Practical child pedestrian safety training
This training is offered to selected primary schools in socially deprived areas. The scheme has proved to be an effective way for children in primary years three, four and five to gain and develop pedestrian skills, observe dangers and practice crossing roads safely via supervised training walks in their local area. The scheme uses the Skooter and Hattie workbooks for the classroom training.
