Deactivated firearms
If you own or want to transfer ownership of a deactivated firearm, you must tell the Department of Justice (DoJ). You do not need to tell DoJ about firearms which were deactivated before 8 April 2016.

Transfer of a deactivated firearm form
You need to tell DoJ about the transfer of a deactivated firearm to another person or organisation before the transfer takes place or as soon as possible after the transfer. You do not need to tell DoJ if the transfer is for a period of 14 days or less.

Fines
You could be fined £200 if you fail to tell DoJ you own or transfer a deactivated firearm.
