There are 11 modules in total, and an optional motorway riding module.

Optional module
A learner rider can only do motorway riding with an AMI who is in communication with them by radio. .
Once the learner rider passes their test, they do not need supervision to ride on the motorway but can still choose to complete this module with an AMI or supervising rider.
