The Hervey/Bruce papers in PRONI comprise around 1,250 original and copied documents (mainly the former), around 1750 to around 1950, relating mainly to Frederick Augustus Hervey, 4th Earl of Bristol (and Bishop of Derry from 1768 to his death in 1803), and to his cousins and successors in his Co. Londonderry estate, the Bruce family, baronets of Downhill, Castlerock, Co. Londonderry.
