When your council can help

Your council is usually only able to help you get rid of certain pests.

Every council varies in the pest control service it provides. Contact your local council to check its pest control provision.

The council does not provide a Pest Control Service, however advice is available

The council do not have a pest control service however information leaflets on common pests are available.

Pest control service offers appointments about rats and mice only – can give advice about other types of pests.

If you are experiencing a pest problem the council can provide advice on measures to prevent and control the problem however the council does not provide any form of pest control treatment such as the laying of bait or traps.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council

If you have problems with pests such as rats, mice or wasps, Environmental Health Officers can offer free advice on possible control measures.

Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council

Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council offers a professional pest control service to privately owned residential properties and homes rented from a range of landlord tenures such as housing associations and private landlords.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council

If you are experiencing a pest problem the council can provide advice on measures to prevent and control the problem.

While the Council does not provide a pest treatment service, you can contact the Environmental Health Service for advice and guidance on pests.
