Debt Management Northern Ireland

This service is for residents of Northern Ireland only.

Debt Management's role is:

  • to recover overpaid benefits 
  • make deductions from benefits (except Universal Credit) for public utility debts
  • to recover Social Security loans for social fund, discretionary support,  
    support for mortgage interest
  • recover overpayments about Welfare Supplementary Payments
  • recover overpaid Universal Credit payments to landlords
  • recover benefits as a result of personal injury claims and associated health services charges
