Sign in or set up Rates Online

To view your rate bill or previous bills online or update your details and access other services linked to your rate bill you need to have your own Rates Online account. To set up a Rates Online account, you need to have your own nidirect account.

This service is for managing your rates account only. You can't use it to ask about Rate Rebate or Universal Credit. If you need help with those services you can: Contact the Rate Rebate Team online or Contact Universal Credit Team.

Rates Online services

A Rates Online account will allow you to access a number of different services to help you manage and update your rate bill.

You will also be able to let Land & Property services (LPS) know of some changes to your property or personal details.

You will be able to:

view details of your rate account including the outstanding balance
view your current bill and previous bills
receive e-bills (from the date of sign up)
receive notifications for new bills by email or SMS
update your contact details
set up a Direct Debit
make an online payment
view information for your properties
ask for a review of dates in your rate bill
report buying / selling or moving to a new property
report a change in occupancy status of a property
complete a non-domestic vacancy declaration
make an application for Article 21 agreement or apply to end an agreement
request another ratepayer is added to an account
request to move a property from one account to another
appoint and manage authorised parties to manage your accounts
raise a query
upload documents
contact LPS
use a Chatbot for general queries

Before you start

You need your own nidirect account to sign in to Rates Online. If you already have a nidirect account, you should use it to sign in.

Guide for setting up a nidirect account

You will need your Ratepayer and Account identification numbers to link your Rate Account to Rates Online. You can find these on your most recent rates bill.

The name used on your nidirect account should be the same as the name you use for Rates Online.
