Pay your rates at a Post Office or Payzone outlet

You may find it more convenient to pay your rates in a local Post Office or shop which offers the Payzone Service. As well as the network of Post Offices, there are over 800 Payzone outlets in Northern Ireland, including garages, newsagents and convenience stores.

Convenient locations to pay your rate bill

For your convenience, you can choose to pay by cheque, cash or debit card - however some retaliers may not accept cheques and / or debit cards. You can pay in full, in one single payment, before the discount date shown on your bill to avail of a four per cent discount, or you can pay by instalments.

You will need the 2012 - 13 Rates QuickPay card which is attached to your bill to make a payment. Bring your bill with you so you will know how much you need to pay. Please retain your receipt. You can find out how to use the Rates QuickPay card in the link below:

If you pay by cheque in a Post Office, it must be made payable to 'Post Office Ltd'.

You must allow five working days for any payment to reach Land & Property Services (LPS).

Single payment

If you pay your rate bill in one single payment, before the discount date shown on your bill, you will receive a four per cent discount. You must allow five working days for any payment to reach LPS.

Please note that some retailers may apply a maximum single transaction limit.
