Income Support
Income Support is no longer available in Northern Ireland.
Income Support replaced by Universal Credit
You can no longer make a new claim for Income Support.
If you’re on a low income and need help to cover your living costs, you can apply for Universal Credit instead.
If you have a query about an old Income Support claim or Universal Credit you can contact the Universal Credit Service Centre and they will get back to you.
Easter public holidays - benefit payment dates
If your payment is due on Friday 3, Monday 6 or Tuesday 7 April, you will still be paid by that date.
All benefits operate on different payment systems, but you will not receive your payment later than the day it would normally be due.
