There are several ways to order a birth or adoption certificate from the General Register Office Northern Ireland (GRONI)
In certain circumstances a birth that has already been registered may be re-registered
Anyone born or legally adopted in Northern Ireland to change their forename and/or surname
District Registrars are responsible for the registration of all life events in Northern Ireland and are based in council offices
