Altnahinch Reservoir

Close to Belfast City Centre with a number of good fly fishery stretches

River Lagan Stranmillis Stretch

Coarse section of the River Lagan from the Red Bridge to the Stranmillis weir

River Maine

Managed by the Maine Angling Club, with interesting pools and runs available for both fly and worm fishing

River Margy, Carey and Glenshesk

Managed and maintained by the Ballycastle Angling Club

Lough Mourne

A good stock of overwintered brown trout in the lough in excellent condition averaging in weight from 0.5 to 1 kg

Lough NaCranagh and Lough Doo

Managed, stocked and maintained by the Fairhead Fishing Club

Movanagher Canal

The canal stretch is readily accessible and is a popular coarse fishery. Pike, perch, roach, bream and eels are abundant

A popular pike fishery with an abundance of pike, perch, roach and bream

One of the most popular public fisheries, and is stocked at various times throughout the angling season

North Woodburn

The water is very popular and productive where juveniles can learn to fish and be in sight of adults at all times

Lower South Woodburn

Fairly small reservoir but productive with good fly hatches

Middle South Woodburn

Very popular water with good catches regularly taken and in a forest area with good fly hatches

Upper South Woodburn

Work has been carried out to improve the supply of wild young fish to this water. Water levels at this location can be low in late summer
