Working Well (European Social Fund project)

Working Well is a project organised by NIACRO as part of the European Social Fund. It is aimed at people who have offended and who are unemployed (including long-term unemployed) or economically inactive.

In partnership with the Probation Board for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Prison Service, the project will support people who have offended, to progress towards the labour market. This will include people who are in prison and are preparing for, or in the early stages of, release, and people who are in the community, some of whom will be under probation supervision. The four main aims are:

  • support progress towards the labour market
  • help combat poverty
  • reduce reoffending
  • tackle discrimination that goes with holding a conviction

Working Well is available across Northern Ireland.
