Specialist Employment Programme (European Social Fund Project)

The Specialist Employment Programme is a project organised by Action on Hearing Loss as part of the European Social Fund. It is aimed at unemployed people aged 16 or over who are deaf and/or hard of hearing.

The aim of the Specialist Employment Programme is to enhance the employability of people who are deaf, have a hearing loss and/or tinnitus, through the provision of specialist support. This includes:

  • individual assessment needs and personal development plans
  • advice and guidance sessions
  • accredited training and employability programmes to improve confidence
  • CV writing
  • interview skills

The Specialist Employment Programme works throughout Northern Ireland in partnership with local councils.
