Young people invited to enter creative competition

Young people are being asked to demonstrate how they have made a difference to society and their local communities. The Youth Justice Agency is asking 10 to 17 year olds to enter its annual creative competition, which this year has the theme: ‘Young people can make a difference’. The closing date for entries is 24 February 2012.
Categories
There are two age categories:
- 10-13 years
- 14-17 years
Entrants are invited to show what the theme means to them through one of the following four categories:
- photography
- short film
- poetry/ short story
- song/ rap
All entries must be the original work of the entrants and must not infringe the rights of other parties.

Prizes include kindles, iPods, digital cameras, vouchers for the winners' schools/ youth clubs and a day job-shadowing a professional photographer.
All winners will also be invited to a prize-giving ceremony in Parliament Buildings, Stormont in the spring.
