Rates video transcript
We can all find it a struggle to keep on top of paying the bills, so to help take the hassle out of paying your rate bill, why not consider the benefits of paying by Direct Debit.
Setting up your Direct Debit couldn’t be easier. Visit the nidirect website, click the “do it online” button and download a direct debit form.
You can chose to pay your rate bill by instalments and spread the cost with ten monthly payments
Or, if you prefer, you can pay your full rate bill in one payment saving you money
And if you pay by Direct Debit you are protected by the Direct Debit guarantee.
So, if there are any changes to the amount you pay or when you’re paying it you must be notified within ten days. Plus, if for any reason any mistakes are made, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund.
“Paying my rate bill by Direct Debit means I can spread the cost of paying my rates in ten monthly instalments. I was given a choice of three payment dates, the 7th, 15th or 28th of the month. So I opted for the 28th, right after pay day! I know in advance how much I am going to pay and I have the extra security of the Direct Debit guarantee.”
“I prefer to pay my rate bill in full and Direct Debit works for me. I know my rate payment will happen automatically after my annual bill is issued. I know my payment will be collected in time to make sure I get an early payment discount. With no need to post a cheque or make payment in person, I have more time to do the things I enjoy.”
Setting up your Direct Debit is easy to do and you only have to do it once.
So you can relax, safe in the knowledge that your payment will always be collected on time.
