I'm already retired - what do I need to know?
What does retirement mean to you? People retire in different ways, and at different times. You need to know what choices are available that will suit you.
Your options
Even if you're past State Pension age, you may not have retired yet, or you may not have claimed your State Pension or another pension. Whatever your age, you may still have options about working and claiming pensions. For example, you might want to think about part-time or voluntary work, or other ways to stay active and involved.

The State Pension is changing. Annual increases to the basic State Pension will be worked out differently in future. This should mean the State Pension rises faster than it does today. There are a lot of other changes. Most of them will not affect you, but you should find out more if:
- you are married or in a civil partnership and get a small amount of basic State Pension
- you currently receive an Adult Dependency Increase (ADI)
- you have not claimed your State Pension and there is an adult who depends on you financially
