Visits to the River Bush

Visitors are welcome to the River Bush Salmon Station and if a few days notice is given, guided tours can be arranged.

Best times to visit

The best time to visit is from the middle of June to the middle of November when returning adult salmon can be seen.

Another good time to visit the station is from the middle of November to the end of January, when adult brood fish are stripped of their eggs and are reared on in the hatchery.

These are the best times of year to see all the life-cycle stages of the salmon.
