Public transport
If you take the bus
Sit back, relax, and let someone else do the driving. Whether you are travelling to work, going shopping, popping into town to meet with friends or getting home safely after a good night out, taking the bus can be less stressful and more relaxing than driving.
Taking public transport means:
- you can read a book or the newspaper on your way to work or to the shops
- you can relax, enjoy the scenery or catch up on some sleep until you arrive at your destination
- there's no need to drive around trying find a parking space, or pay the charges
- you can stay until the shops close - not until your parking ticket runs out
- you can meet up and go for a drink with your friends, someone else will drive you home
If you take the train
- train travel could save you time and money, and help you reduce your carbon footprint
- you don't have to worry about traffic jams or speeding fines
- you can lose yourself in a good book or catch up on some sleep
- you can enjoy beautiful views out of the window instead of having to concentrate on the road
- you don't need to find a parking space or worry about parking tickets on a train
- you can eat or drink safely and comfortably without having to stop halfway through your journey at the motorway services
- you can catch up on your work, or even have a meeting
