Community transport

Community Transport Partnerships provide accessible door-to-door and group travel services to community groups, older people and people with disabilities. The services are operated by a wide range of community operators and are only available for members who live in Northern Ireland. More information on these services can be accessed through the Community Transport Association.

Door–2–Door

Door-2-Door Transport is the local urban transport service for people with disabilities, or for those who find it difficult using mainstream public transport. Shopmobility

Shopmobility services lend manual and powered wheelchairs and powered scooters to members of the public with limited mobility to shop or use them to access leisure and commercial facilities. Shopmobility schemes currently operate in:

  • Ballymena
  • Bangor
  • Belfast
  • Carrickfergus
  • Enniskillen
  • Lisburn
  • Derry/Londonderry (known as Foyle)
  • Magherafelt
  • Newry
  • Newtownards
  • Omagh

Anyone can become a member of Shopmobility. Further information on Shopmobility schemes can be accessed from their website.
