Airlines and airports
Northern Ireland has a wide range of air travel options available.
Airports are responsible for providing assistance to passengers to enable people with disabilities and others with reduced mobility to board, disembark and transfer between flights. Assistance on board an aircraft is the responsibility of the airline.
To allow both airlines and airports to make any necessary arrangements for your journey, you should give them as much notice as possible. This usually means telling them about your particular needs when you are making your flight booking.
The main airports in Northern Ireland are:
- Belfast International (Belfast International Airport website)
- City of Derry (City of Derry Airport website)
- George Best Belfast City (George Best Belfast City Airport website)
Each of the airports above has further information for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRMs) available on their website. Each airport website also lists the current flight destinations offered.
