Pay your rates by cheque

If you wish to pay your rates by cheque, find out where you should send or deliver your payment.

Send your cheque by post

Make your cheque payable to ‘Land & Property Services’, cross it ‘Rate Account’ and send it to the address shown at the top of your bill. Clearly print the address of the property for which the rates are due and your Account ID and Ratepayer ID number on the back of the cheque. These numbers can be found on your rate bill:

A receipt will not be issued for postal payments.

Hand deliver your cheque

You can also hand deliver cheques to any Land & Property Services (LPS) rating office. You can the use the link below to find the location of your nearest rating office:

LPS does not accept cash or post-dated cheques.

Single payment

If you pay your rate bill in one single payment, before the discount date shown on your bill, you will receive a four per cent discount. You must allow five working days for any payment to reach LPS.
