Drum Manor Forest Park

Drum Manor Forest is a small, varied and attractive forest estate located near Cookstown.

Activities

The forest park is serviced by a large car park with toilets, gardens, lawn areas, waymarked trails and forest plots exhibiting a wide range of tree species planted in formal groups.

The old manor ruins are regularly used as a location for wedding photography

The forest park is open every day from 10.00 am until sunset. Entry charges apply.

There is a youth camp site available to organised youth groups. Pre-booking is essential if you wish to use these facilities. Contact the Recreation Manager at Inishkeen House.

There may be restrictions on access to parts of our forests from time to time to facilitate forest operations. Please adhere to safety signage which will be posted for your safety.

Caravanning and camping

The park offers extensive facilities for the caravan or camping enthusiast.

There are 31 caravan and camping stands with modern toilets and showers, together with a fresh water supply, chemical toilet disposal point and electricity hook up for caravans. Laundry facilities are also available on the site.

This site is closed during low season (from 1 October until St Patrick's weekend).

About this forest

Drum Manor was acquired from Mr Archibald Close by the Forest Service in 1964 and opened to the public as a forest park in 1970. Its close proximity to Cookstown and central location in Northern Ireland makes it an attractive venue for locals and tourists.

Touring in the Trees permit holders may use the basic caravanning facilities on the designated site at Drum Manor.

How to get there

This forest is situated off the A505 Cookstown to Omagh Road, approximately three miles from Cookstown.
