A quarry dust surfaced road runs around the perimeter of the Lough, and anglers with disabilities would find this water particularly accessible.
Vehicle parking is possible at various locations. The water is accessible to wheelchairs at some locations. The road is closed at weekends but pedestrian access is available from the car park.

From Belfast
After taking the A6 to Dungiven, take the B49 through Claudy to Dunamanagh. Head south for about 90 metres on the B48 towards Plumbridge, turn right to Altishane. Cross the Silverbrook Bridge 3.2 km out and turn left for another 1.6 km to Devine’s pub. Turn right for 2 km over the moor, then left for 450 metres and left again by the gravel road to the lake.
From Strabane
Travel north by the A5 towards Londonderry, turning right 3.2 km out of Strabane towards Dunamanagh B49. Turn right again in Artigarvan village for 6.4 km through Glenmornan, then right for 450 metres and left by the road to the lake.
