Ballykeel Lougherne

This attractive lough is stocked regularly and provides good sport

Ballynahinch, Annacloy and Quoile Rivers

Good trout fishing is available in the river downstream from Kilmore and many of the  lower stretches have disabled facilities

Loughbrickland

Near Banbridge and stocked regularly with brown and rainbow trout

Castlewellan Lake

This popular lake is one of the main attractions of Castlewellan Forest Park and is stocked well throughout the year

Lough Cowey

Now managed by the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL) - large fish are frequent in this water

Creevy Lough

Managed by Dundonald Angling Club. Boats are available to hire

Hillsborough Lake

The lake is situated in Hillsborough Forest, a large park with scenic wooded parkland, forest walks and lakeside paths

River Lagan - Iveagh

Managed by the Iveagh Angling Club, with ten free tickets to Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL) permit holders

Lough Money

Water quality and feeding are excellent in this lough and trout growth rates are very good

Portavoe Reservoir

This small and very attractive reservoir lies on the coast road between Donaghadee and Bangor

Shimna River

Part of the river flows through Ulster’s premier forest park and is managed by the Shimna Angling Club

Spelga Reservoir

This reservoir is set in rugged surroundings in the heart of the Mournes near the source of the River Bann

Quoile Basin

Good trout fishing with a disabled car park
