Entrances and car parking

Anglers must use the official entrances and on no account trespass on adjoining lands or park their cars in such a way as to obstruct roadways or gate entrances.

Disabled facilities

Three wheelchair accessible fishing stands are provided. The quarry dust path from the tarmac car park has a suitable gradient for wheelchairs. Anglers should note that this is a reservoir where low water levels can at times make the water unsuitable for fishing by anglers with disabilites.

From Belfast approach by the M5 and A2 towards Carrickfergus.

Just before entering Carrickfergus take the B58 Woodburn Rd which leads on to Prospect Rd.Turn Right at “T” junction and travel along Middle Rd leading onto Marshallstown Rd for 3km until another “T” junction. Turn left at Beltoy Rd.Reservoir is 750 m up the hill on left hand side.
