Students from England, Scotland and Wales

The nidirect student finance section provides information for students who normally live in Northern Ireland or the EU and are studying anywhere in the UK. If you normally live in England, Scotland or Wales and are studying a higher education course anywhere in the UK, your application for student finance will be handled as follows.

Students from England

If you normally live in England, and are studying anywhere in the UK, your application for student finance will be dealt with by Student Finance England. To find out more, visit the Directgov website.

Students from Scotland

If you normally live in Scotland, and are studying anywhere in the UK, your application for student finance will be dealt with by the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS). To find out more, visit the SAAS website.

Students from Wales

If you normally live in Wales, and are studying anywhere in the UK, you can apply for finance through Student Finance Wales. To find out more, visit the Student Finance Wales website.
