Types of apprenticeships

The types of apprenticeship and the qualifications for each are set out in what is known as a framework. There are currently three levels to choose from

Apprenticeships training suppliers

Find out who delivers apprenticeship training in your area. You and your employer must speak to one of these training suppliers to arrange your ‘off- the-job’ training

Getting started on the Apprenticeships programme

If you are interested in becoming an apprentice under the Apprenticeships programme, you must be in a job or have found an employer who is willing to take you on as an apprentice

Apprentice of the Year Awards (DEL website)

The search has begun to find the top apprentice in Northern Ireland. Nominations for the Apprentice of the Year awards 2016 are now open and will close at noon on Friday 5 February.
