Make a complaint about your water or sewage service

Submit an official complaint about water and sewerage to the NI Consumer Council.

How to use this service

If you have a complaint  about water and sewerage, you should contact Northern Ireland Water in the first instance by:

  • telephone on 0845 744 0088 (calls are charged at local rate, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
  • typetalk for customers with hearing difficulties on 0800 0515 446, or
  • email: waterline@niwater.com

If Northern Ireland Water are unable to resolve your complaint or if you remain dissatisfied with their response, you can complain to the Consumer Council for Northern Ireland, who have the legal power to act on your behalf and investigate your complaint.
