Apply to have your property valued for rates

If you have a new property, or have carried out work to an existing property, you must apply to Land & Property Services (LPS), to have it valued for rates.

How to use this service

You can apply to have your new domestic property valued by completing and submitting the online form in the link below. To use this, input as many property details as you can and click on the submit query button and follow the instructions on each page:

Alternatively, you can complete and return the valuation application form. This is a writeable document, which means that you can complete on screen, print and send to LPS. Alternatively, you can save the document to your desktop, complete the form and send as an attachment to your nearest LPS Valuation office:

What to do if you are not happy with your current valuation

You can find your capital valuation on your rate bill or you can use the attached link to check the capital valuation of individual domestic properties. You can also use this link to make an online submission to have your valuation reviewed if you feel that your rate bill is not correct. To use the online submission, you should input your property details on the first page and click on the search button. This will then bring up the address, size, valuation etc. When you are satisfied that this is the correct property, you can then click on the submit query button and follow the instructions on the subsequent pages:

You can also apply to LPS to have a valuation reviewed by completing and returning the valuation application form (CR3 form). This is a writeable document, which means that you can complete on screen, print and send to LPS. Alternatively, you can save the document to your desktop, complete the form and send as an attachment to your nearest LPS Valuation office:
