Search for a registered charity
The Register of Charities is maintained by the Charity Commission and contains details of charities registered in England and Wales (although the charity may carry out work in Northern Ireland).
How to use this service
Search the Charity Commission database for contact details, names of trustees and details of documents submitted to the Commission. You can search for a charity by keyword, name, registered number or the area that it operates in.
Northern Ireland charities
The registration of Northern Ireland charities is yet to start. However, in the interim, the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland has published a deemed list of Northern Ireland charities. You can view this list on the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland webpage.
